About the artists:

Elisabet Velasquez is a Boricua writer born in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Her work has been featured in Muzzle Magazine, Winter Tangerine, Latina Magazine, We Are MitĂş, Tidal, and more. Born in “Brick City” Newark, NJ Yari ”Porta Rock” is an educator, writer, poet and activist using his craft to transmit lessons and messages of identity and social protest to the masses. He has a book titled, “From In Between the Bricks I Rise: Reflections from a Porta Rock.”
