“Jersey City Poet Laureate RescuePoetix reflects on tenure, hosts City Hall reading Sept. 13”

“City, county and municipal poet laureates in New Jersey are developing positions,” Justiniano said. “For example, in 2021, Natalie Akel was the inaugural Hudson County Community College Student Poet Laureate. I’ve connected with ArtPride NJ to create a Poet Laureate database for New Jersey and there is a petition to reestablish the Poet Laureate of the state of New Jersey.”
