The Arts Professional Development Series

Are you a part of the Arts Community? Join New Jersey City University in partnership with Jersey City Art & Culture, Jersey City Arts Council and Rising Tide Capital for a series of four, full-day educational business workshops starting February 8, 2019! Our first workshop will include grants, sponsorships, and fundraising by utilizing special events.

Learn best practices from our special guest speakers: Susan Shiroma, Senior Social Sector Librarian Foundation Center NY; Corrine Statia Thomas, Owner, Creative Director & Aimee Peterson, Event Planner Absolute Events By Corrine & Event Makers; and Rachel Gambino, Development Manager of Rising Tide Capital.

  • Friday, February 8 at 9:30a – 2:30p: Grant Writing and Fundraising Essentials
  • Friday, March 8 at 9:30a – 2:30p: Not-for-Profit Structure Best Practices
  • Friday, April 12 at 9:30a – 2:30p: Advertising, Marketing and Social Media
  • Friday, May 17 at 9:30a – 2:30p: Preparedness and Catastrophe Planning
