Hudson West Folk Festival
November 16, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm
An all day Americana/Folk/Roots music festival in Jersey City.
This year’s Hudson West Fest will be held at the Nimbus Arts Center in downtown Jersey City, a new custom built performance space. We will again have the beautifully original stage backdrops, as well as artwork throughout the venue. Our delightful food vendor and several artisan shops will participate and, of course, the much requested, free music workshops will continue to be a major feature.
A blend of art, community and music
Holcombe has shared the stage with legends
Merle Haggard, Richard Thompson, Leon Russell.
His 16 records, laced with poetic truth-bombs,
blend folk, country, rock, bluegrass.
MILES TO DAYTON
These 5 musicians deliver 4-part
harmonies in an irresistible blend of
folk, rock, country and classical.
The chemistry between Alice Wallace and Caitlin Connor, both powerhouse performers, is palpable. Their punchy lyrics on love and heartbreak will pierce your soul.
JERRON “BLIND BOY” PAXTON
Paxton, who began going blind in his teens, mastered half a dozen instruments to bring to life the blues/jazz/ragtime mix of the 1920’s and 30’s.
Zoe storms the stage with boundless energy and endless talent. Her hilarious mixture of high-octane folk, funk, jazz is irresistible.
The lush vocal harmonies of this LI- based group of brothers and friends are reminiscent of Crosby, Still, and Nash with a dash of Grateful Dead and The Band.
Her biting humor “puts her up there with Paul Simon” (The NYTimes). Mixing music and motherhood, she’s says she’s “singing for her life.”
Featuring Guitarist/Vocalist Walter Parks, Accordionist Rob Curto and Jagoda on drums, to belt out hollers, reels, soul and blues, to celebrate American roots music.
