Through Toomai’s versatility and engaging string arrangements, the group evokes the essence of beloved musical traditions from Brazil, Cuba, and Mexico. This concert celebrates the world premieres of new works by the Cuban composer and pianist Adonis Gonzalez, and also features works by Heitor Villa Lobos, Léa Freire, Israel “Cachao” Lopez, Manuel Ponce, Milton Nascimento, and more.
