The Kennedy Dancers present Dances From The Diaspora

April 4, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Join Kennedy Dancers for an evening of international folk dance accompanied by educational lectures by Dr. William Westerman, to give us contextual backgrounds to these diverse and rich cultures, their traditions, and means of furthering these through dance! The performances will be followed by an intimate reception with light refreshments!

Performances By: The Kennedy Dancers, MDN Latin Dance, The Hellenic Dancers of NJ, Mosaic Dance Theatre, Reaction Dance Company, and Ennobled Dance Company

  • Dances From The Diaspora will be held at the William Brennan Courthouse located at 583 Newark Avenue, Jersey City NJ 07306
  • Doors open at 6:15 and Performance begins at 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm and will be followed by a reception with light refreshments.

About Kennedy Dancers:

The Kennedy Dancers, Inc. is a non-profit Jersey City based, Professional American Dance Company, established in 1976 with a mission of bringing high quality dance training and professional performance opportunities to the NY/NJ Metro area.  Since its inception, the company has grown to respond to the community’s special needs serving low-income/at- risk/incarcerated teens, and senior citizens through diverse dance classes offering fun/fitness/performance opportunities.

This performance is made possible by The Kennedy Dances, The New Jersey State Council on the Arts, The Hudson County and Jersey City Community Development Grant, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
