First Annual festival De Juan Bautista
June 29 @ 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm
La Noche de San Juan Bautista is a family-friendly celebration from Puerto Rico which revolves around food, friends and the beach. It’s an extremely social event, where all enjoy the opportunity to meet others in a fun and casual environment. In the Island of Puerto Rico the people gather all around the island to celebrate “La Noche de San Juan,” but the largest crowds are attracted to the San Juan area beaches. People bring blankets, towels, food and drinks to get them through the night or longer.
The 1st Annual Festival will be held on Saturday, June 29th, 2019 at the City Hall Plaza 209 Grove Street, Jersey City NJ 07305. La Casita De Esperanza is excited to bring this Puerto Rican tradition to you and will have a wide variety of food, native costumes, representational arts and crafts and music. The festival amply displays the many cultures that make up Jersey City Hispanic community. This year’s festival begins at 12:00 pm, with raffles and special invited guest appearing throughout the day. The festival also boasts a wide variety of traditional Hispanic cuisines, and hosts the “Familia en Vida y Arte” gallery highlighting the Torrez /Aponte family of Jersey City.
